Here’s a little makeover I completed for a client just before Christmas. She wanted her dark, late 40’s mahogany bench painted a fresh white. I picked Amy Howard’s One Step Paint in Ballet White, perfect! The bench had the type of finish that bleeds through so I gave it two coats of shellac and then two and a half coats of One Step Paint and lastly, two coats of clear wax and a good buff. My client wanted a crisp, fresh look so no distressing was required.
I painted in my dining room and waxed at the shop.
